The most interesting tourist region in the area is the Moravian Karst, where the Punkva caves, Macocha abyss, Balcarka, Výpustek, Kateřinská and Sloupsko-šošůvské caves are worth seeing. A unique natural landscape complex with an area of about 300 km2 (UNESCO), located by the border with Austria – dominated by the Lednice and Valtice chateaus, Minaret observation tower and more. In addition to this it offers the South Moravian wine towns of Znojmo and Mikulov, Vranov nad Dyjí, Břeclav, the Pálava nature reserve and Dolní Věstonice, famous for the discovery of the prehistoric Venus figure, the Venus of Dolní Věstonice.
