Short descriptionOriginally a Medieval keep, under Vartislavský bishops property from the 14th century, strongly rebuilt especially in the 18th century where it was given the shape of a comfortable Baroque castle. Touched up in the 19th century. Castle park and gardens.
Expositions1st TOUR - representative rooms with original mobiliar mostly from the 19th century, documenting the life style and interests of Vratislavský bishops.
2nd TOUR - agricultural bases (kitchen, mangle, custodian's flat, servants' dining room, chapel).
Interesting detailUnique exposition of pipes and smokers' neccessities. Uniquely preserved castle's gaslight, the only original exterior gaslight in Czechia in the court.
ValuationThis castle is a nice example where you can see the evolution of a keep form Gothic to Rennaisance and finally to Baroque. Unique and extensive collection of pipes and smokers' neccessities.

The best access is road to Jeseník. In village Lipová-Lázně depart to road 453 which goes through village Žulová to Javorník. Parking lot cca 200 metres from the castle.
