| Short description | Originally Early Gothic fort from the 14th century, later extended into Gothic keep. Rebuilt into representative Renaissance castle by Habsburk's clan in the 16th century. Partially damaged during Thirty-years war, modified in Romanticism style to a certain extent in the 19th century. Today is the castle in a gradual reconstruction. |
| Expositions | Part of the castle used for museum's purposes - exposition of the fine art from the Region's museum of Prague-east. This opened a few interiors (castle chapel, knights hall, military halls, hunter corridor). Short-termed expositions in the renovated Renaissance halls. Temporary exposition "The Czech Painters of the 19th and 20th Century" opened now. |
| Interesting detail | During the Napolen wars in 1813 caesar Frantisek held a meeting here with Alexander I., Prussian king Vilém II. And the generalissimo of ally armies prince Karel Schwarzenberk. |
