| Short description | Originally a small hunting chateau built after 1592 for Rudolf II on the place of a medieval fort. Rebuilt by Valdštejns in 1730, a standalone chapel was connected to the housing part during 1747-52. Amply extended in the 19th century by Fürstenbergs. It was already a state chateau (since 1918) when rebuilt by J. Plečnik into a summer mansion for president T.G. Masarylk in 1929. |
| Expositions | The chateau is not opened for public. But you can visit the chateau park established around 1770, modified by J. Plečnik, and the chateau chapel with sculptures decor by J. Jelínek and wood-carved details by J.F. Platzer. |
