Short descriptionThe castle built in 1411 by Master Kříž as a country seat to king Václav IV. Besieged by Prague Hussites in 1420, later conquered and set on fire. The ruins were perfectly preserved up to the 19th century, above-ground frames taken down in 1881.
ExpositionsAreal with preserved grounds, palace basement and a part of the quadrangular housing building. Outstanding fosse quarried in rock and remains of the entrance part. Unbelievably well preserved remains of the besiegers' camp from 1420.
Interesting detailKing Václav IV. Died here during Hussite Wars in 1419.
