| Short description | Monumental representative residence to Pernštejns, one of the best preserved Gothic castles in our country, Renaissance extended, indistinctively modified in Baroque, Classicist and Romanticims style. |
| Expositions | Unique architectonical composition od castle buildings, historical interiors sparingly furnished with period mobiliar (entrance hall with cellar vault, knights hall, library, dungeon, kitchen, etc.). Romantic outlooks. Exposition divided into 5 tours:1st TOUR - basic information about castle history and its constructional development, spare installation, 2nd TOUR - the 19th century on the Gothic castle and the Mitrowský family, lookout tower, completely furnished interiors, 3rd TOUR - additional informations about the constructional development of the castle, cellars, frames and other constructionally important features, 4th TOUR - chapel, sacristy, watch tower. |
| Interesting detail | Part of the castle, depositories, was burnt to ashes on April 15th 2005. Causes of the fire are under investigation, damages are to be evaluated. The first guesses are cca CZK100.000.000. Residence of one of the most important moravian families. Location for several filmings - i.e. The Sleeping Beauty. Interior spaces are connected with crooked corridors and spiral stairs. |

| Access and localities | |
| Arrive | Car The best access is road 18 from Bystřice nap Pernštejnem towards Kunštát. Depart to road 387 towards Olešnička and Nedvědice. Parking right in front of the castle but it is better to park in Nedvědice and walk a beautiful path to the castle. Public transport The closest train station is Nedvědice itself on track 251 between Bystřice pod Pernštejnem and Kuřim. The castle is cca 1,3 km from the station. |
