| Short description | Extensive ruins of a castle established in the 14th century. Several times extended up to the 16th century, most significantly during Půta Švihovský from Rýzmberk with the participation of constructor Benedikt Rejt. Abandoned in the 18th century. Under gradual reconstruction. |
| Expositions | Castle areal - cannon fortifications with bastions, stable, etc. Constructional and historical development of the castle. Two sightseeing tours: 1st TOUR "The Palace" - castle interiors (preserved rooms in the first floor of Břenkův Palace, cellars), exposition of tiles with a replica of Late-Gothic tile stove, exposition of archeological discoveries from the break of the 15th and 16th century, castle maquettes in three evolutional phases, 2nd TOUR "The Tower" - the 1st court, castle water well, coolroom, the oldest castle part with a large donjon - a tower 26 metres high (outlook), the lowest ends of the castle cellars. |
| Interesting detail | The largest castle ruin in Bohemia. Jan Žižka from Trocnov lost his second eye here when Hussites were besieging the castle in 1421. |
