Short descriptionThe townhall was first rememberd in 1377 as a two-wings building. Extensively Gothic rebuilt in the beginning of the 15th century. Its tower was built in 1452-45, twice Renaissance rebuilt in the 16th century. The Empire facade on the wing in Vodičková street is from the beginning of the 19th century. The tower is opened for public.

Interesting detailThe townhall was the location of the first Prague defenestration on July 30th 1419. This pivotal moment started the revolutionary phase of the Hussite movement.
