Short descriptionThis house was constructed in 1585 and purchased by Jan Fux, a merchant with ostrich quills, in 1597. He has it rebuilt in 1606, painted with frescos with motives of ostrich quills and ostrichs as the house emblem. Baroque storey with two gables added in 1657. Painted girder ceilings discovered during a redevelopment into a hotel.
ExpositionsRenaissance basement and Baroque frontispiece in the first floor of the house with two gables, remains of frescos with ostrich motives, interiors with painted girder ceilings and motives of grapevine. Restaurant and café in the basement.
Interesting detailArmén Deodat Damajan opened the first Prague café here in 1714.
