Short descriptionFormer Romanic church with a canonry, mentioned already in 1238. Bishop Jan from Dražice and archbishop Arnošt from Pardubice established todays Gothic church with two towers on West in 1310-71. Its exteriors still keep their Gothic manner (angle windows, back shores, portal in the Southern side body).
ExpositionsInteresting exterior and impressive interior that was modified in the Baroque style after 1733 by F. Špaček. Vaults were decorated by V.V. Reiner during 1734-35, stuke decor by B. Spinetti. The main altar created by F.I. Weiss (1734-38).
Interesting detailThe church suffered a fire in 1423, but it was immediately reconstructed yet the northern tower wasn't renovated into its original shape - the characteristic silhouette comes from this time.
