| Short description | K. H. Mácha memorial is in a wooden curbed storey house of former spital, which was built by countess Heissenštejnská in 1669 for seniors and orphaned children. It is the eldest estate in Doksy today, as it didn't succumb to big fire in 1842. |
| Expositions | Permanent exposition is mostly dedicated to the life and work of romantic poet K.H. Mácha (1810-1836) who lived in Doksy at his friend's E. Hindl. Local stay had a strong influence on poet's work - most of the plot in his top masterpiece May is located in the former Hirschberg surroundings. Various May editions are at display, along with 24 graphic sheets of prominent czech artists who were inspired by May. One part is also dedicated to the history and present of fishery and fishpond cultivation in Českolipsko. |
