| Short description | District of two castles, Upper and Lower. Upper castle was built during 1522-24 by Bedřich from Salhausen on a place of an unsatisfactory fort of Trček from Lípa's clan. Lowe castle was built around the middle of the 16th century for Bedřich's sons. Extended by the end of the 19th century with pseudo-renaissance building. Both castles ar in late Gaothic style with rare Saxon Renaissance features. Upper castle is being gradually reconstructed and opened for public. |
| Expositions | 1st TOUR - Lower castle - original as well as renovated interiors show exposition about the life of aristocracy, especially in the 16th and 17th century. Among others, an equipped kitchen, armory, suzerain's office and also things of everyday's use, such as prevet. 2nd TOUR - Upper castle - exposition Far East with artificer pieces from the 16th and 17th century. |

| Valuation | Expositions introduces the life of aristocracy in a very intriguing way. It contains some unique exhibits (Muller's map of the Bohemian country from 1720) and interesting things from everyday's life (Renaissance toilet, kitchen ang hygienic necessities). |

| Arrive | Carl Benešov nad Ploučnicí is best accessible when driving from Děčín on road #262. Parking is possible right on square or in enclosed streets. Public transport Train, track #82, arrival from Děčín or from Česká Lípa. The castle is about 1 km far from the station. |
