| Short description | Originally a Gothic keep, largely extended in the 15th century. Rebuilt into an exhibitory Renaissance castle during the following century, unique chapel, library and observatory established. Partially damaged during Thirty years war, fortifications taken down in the 17th century and one century later were older buildings rebuilt into the New Castle, landscape park established. The Old Castle suffered a fire in 1843, devasted due to improper usage (army) in 1953 and finally costly renovated after 1989. The New Castle used as barracks. |
| Expositions | Northern wing - mázhaus, St. Barbora Chapel, interior installation. Renaissance timber ceiling transported and newly settled (the wing opened for public after 150 years - it was closed after the fire in 1843), cellars, old smithery, tower with outlook to Trojmezí (three borders -Cz, Poland, Germany). |
| Interesting detail | An almost collapsed castle saved after 1989, mobiliar tracked from several places. The very beginning of the "secret corridor" is now opened as part of the cellars. |
| Valuation | The preserving method applied here is very popular but very rarely used in such an extend. It conserves genius loci and as much as possible of the original substances. Considering it was closed for 50 years, this is certainly a "secret tip". |

| Arrive | Car The best access is road 35 to Liberec and then road 13, after Liberec depart to road 271 to Hrádek nad Nisou. There is a detour to keep before the village. Free parking cca 300 metres from keep. Public transport The closest train station is Chotyně on track 89 between Liberec and Hrádek nad Nisou. The keep is cca 1.5 kms far. |
