| Expositions | 1st TOUR - castle interiors: This sightseeing tour consists of 10 castle interiors mostly from the 19th century, documentating the life style of the Lords from Hanau, an electors family. Interiors with Baroque, Classicist and Empire decor (J.F. Schor and K. Würbs paintings), i.e. the main hall, receiving lounge, dining hall, library, hunters lounge, golden lounge. 2nd TOUR - games and toys of the young aristocracy. Permanent exposition in electoral wing area. The exposition is divided in two parts - boys' part with round games and brick-box examples; and girls' part with dolls and doll rooms. Interesting feature is a large and workable railroad model from the beginning of the 20. Century. MUSIC MACHINES - music machines exposition and castiron gallery: Permanent expositions dedicated to music automatophons, so called music machines, and also documentating the history of ferrous metallurgy and castiron production in Hořovice region. MYSTIC CREATURES - Mystic creatures of the Brdske woods: Mountain Plešivec, wrapped in legends, rises from the dark and deep forests... and this is the place we would like to show you. You will be wandering around woods full of fen-fires, forest dwarves, and through elves and fairies valley. You'll also catch a glimpse of the devil's pulpit, where the devil himself used to preach, surrounded with imps. We will introduce you to to the clash between two masters, Dym and Fabian, and many many more |
