| Short description | Originally an Early Gothic Premyslids keep built by cistercko-burgundská iron works (just like nearby Bezděz), later Berks's from Dubá possession, rebuilt into a Renaissance castle by the end of the 16th century. Renovated in 1928. |

| Interesting detail | One of the best preserved Přemysl Otakar II. Kings keeps. The original keep shape is pictured in one wall painting in the chapel. The keep chapel is, according to a legend, situated right above "The Hells's Gate". Gothic frescos (twice archangel Michaal, St. Kryštof, Passion play scenes, unidentficable left-handed bowwoman - a centaur?), a fragment of celtic ornaments under one hall ceiling. This keep belongs to The Bats program - dormant place to eared bats, black bats and cave bats. |
