| Short description | Early Baroque, originaly a hunters castle, built for Humprecht Jan Černín from Chudenic by Carlo Lurag's plan. Hieghtened and touched up after fire in 1678. Unusual with its elliptical shape and rooms layed out around castle's girth with the central hall in the middle. Forest park, former deer park. |

| Interesting detail | Echo in the main hall with frescos. Two points (foci) are marked on the floor. If each person stands in one, facing back to each other and one of them will be whispering towards wall, the other person will hear it clearly. |
| Valuation | This is an unique castle with its room 'and central halls architectonical solution. Interior is partially furnitured with Baroque mobiliar. The central hall in the second floor is also outstanding, with its beautiful frescos and interesting accoustic. |

| Arrive | Car The best access is road 16 between Mladá Boledlav and Jičín. This road passes close to Sobotka outskirts. Parking possible right in the village or close to the castle. Veřejná doprava The closest train station is Sobotka itself on track 64. The castle is cca 700 metres far. |

| Touristic marks |  The yellow mark begins in Sobotka (cca 1 km) by church and by the castle divides in two. One branch goes through deer park to koupaliště (open air pool) (cca1 km) where it ends, other branch leads to Sobotka train station (cca 800 metres), where it ends. |
